ABOUT ii3D
We don't build flashy
3D demos. We make
custom orders run.
ii3D is a 3D configuration and realtime quoting engine for made-to-order products. What matters to us isn't how detailed the model is, but what happens after the last option is picked: whether the price is right, the list is complete, and the factory can start.
THE PROBLEM
Custom manufacturing rarely fails at making it.
It fails at explaining, pricing and handing it over.
Options are hard to explain
Modules, sizes, fabrics and hardware all intersect. Static renders never keep up with what the customer is imagining, so sales describe it in words and the buyer has to guess.
Quotes take too long
Change one option and the bill of materials and the price both have to be recalculated. In the three days spent waiting for a quote, the customer has already asked someone else.
Data stops at the factory door
A configuration chosen online still gets retyped into a work order by hand. One wrong part number costs far more in rework than the modelling ever did.
HOW WE THINK
Four things we won't compromise on.
Rules before visuals
A good-looking model is the outcome, not the point. What decides a project is whether the option logic is rigorous: what combines, what conflicts, what triggers a surcharge. All of it has to be defined before modelling starts.
Model once, reuse everywhere
One parametric asset set feeds the web configurator, the sales quoting tool, the digital catalogue and the colour swatch library. No rebuilding the same content for every channel.
Output has to be executable
A configurator should not end in a screenshot. It should end in a structured bill of materials that goes straight into ERP, generates the work order and drives production. Anything less is a demo.
Performance is a hard constraint
Mesh optimisation, LOD tiers and progressive loading are not optional. A configurator that will not open on a mobile connection effectively does not exist.
ENGINE ARCHITECTURE
Four layers to the engine.
Miss one and the chain breaks there.
Stage 01
Asset layer: from CAD to real time
STEP, IGES and native CAD files are optimised for the web while assembly relationships and naming structures stay intact. PBR materials are calibrated so on-screen colour can be checked against a physical swatch.
Stage 02
Rules layer: option logic as data
Module compatibility matrices, dimensional constraints, exclusions and dependencies, and conditional pricing rules are all maintained as data. Business teams can adjust rules without touching code.
Stage 03
Interaction layer: a front end per role
The same rule set drives three interfaces: a self-serve configurator for end customers, a quoting workbench for sales, and an ordering portal for dealers.
Stage 04
Integration layer: results where they belong
REST and GraphQL endpoints are open for integration. Commerce connects to Shopify and WooCommerce; production connects to ERP, MES, PLM and CRM, so every configuration stays traceable end to end.
HOW WE WORK
Three ways to engage,
depending on how complex your range is.
Product line configurator
One clearly scoped product line, delivered end to end: asset production, rule setup and front-end launch. A good way to prove the model on a single category first.
- Single product line
- Standard UI theme
- Standard integrations
Full catalogue platform
Multiple product lines and channels, including sales tools and a dealer system, with the interface tailored to your brand.
- Multi-category / channel
- Brand-level UI
- Sales & dealer tools
Engine & technical support
Continuous engine upgrades, new category rollouts, rule iteration and performance tuning, delivered as annual technical support.
- New product rollouts
- Rule maintenance
- Performance & uptime
PRIVACY & TRUST (DIGEST)
Your data is
always yours.
- Data Minimisation
- Zero Ad Tracking
- Clear Ownership
- In-Region Hosting
- Revoke Any Time
Formal legal disclosures — controller identity, legal bases, retention periods, cross-border safeguards and all 8 data subject rights under GDPR Art.13 — are available on the dedicated standalone Privacy Policy page.
Start with one product line.
Send us your product structure and option rules. We'll assess feasibility and come back with a workable implementation path and a scope recommendation.
